Singing is one thing, but our experience with Sister Ingrid went well beyond that. When she started singing, the power of God broke out, and the first lady and I, as well as our deacons and mothers, were all needed to step in and pray and lay hands on the people. about Ingrid
Ingrid Spencer is a native of Kalamazoo, MI. The youngest daughter of Kathy Phillips and Apostle Herman and Pastor Hilda Phillips. Ingrid was raised in the church and introduced to Christ at the Tabernacle Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor C.G. Charles. Ingrid has always had a loud resounding voice beyond her years, and at 5 years old was singing in the group, “Rejoice,” under the direction of Madelene Zackery.
During Ingrid’s high school years, she began formal vocal training at school under Choral Director, Theresa Williams-Johnson, who further cultivated her gift and introduced her to several styles of music compilation.

Over the past 25+ years, Ingrid has gained love and respect in the Midwest Region and throughout the Country and Gospel music industry for her smooth alto tone, quality, range, and maturity of voice. She is an anointed singer, who shifts the atmosphere when she stands behind the microphone to minister in song.

Ingrid has traveled extensively across the United States singing the praises of God. She has sung with several choirs, groups, and national Gospel recording artist such as, Karen Clark-Sheard, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Vashawn Mitchell, Le’Andria Johnson, and Vanessa Bell Armstrong to name a few.

In 2012, Ingrid was featured as a guest soloist on Vashawn Mitchell’s “Created 4 This” album and in 2014 as a featured background vocalist on Vashawn Mitchell’s “Unstoppable” album.
​
In 2015, Ingrid was a featured soloist on NBC’s America’s Got Talent Competition with Larry Callahan & Selected of God, who are also the spokesperson choir for Chrysler Corporation. She received rave reviews from judges Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, Howard Stern, Michael Bubule’, and Mel B.
Ingrid gives all the praise and glory to God for the anointing and call upon her life and the support of her loving husband, Deacon Anthony Spencer, who not only supports her ministry, but covers her fervently in prayer.
Ingrid is a member of Rehoboth Ministries under the leadership of Apostle Hermon and Pastor Hilda Phillips, where she serves faithfully as the Minister of Music and in other leadership capacities.
Ingrid’s desire when she ministers is that the anointing that rests upon her life reaches all those who listen, so that yokes are destroyed and the people of God are delivered, healed, and set free.
